Baby Boo's Afghan So Far. Alternate Title: Snowed In

I feel like I've been incredibly productive today. We are basically completely snowed in - 10+ inches of snow and the plow crew didn't decide to do their jobs until 7:30pm. I called out of work today. No way was I driving in that mess. Anyways, we finally got the Christmas taken down. Threw the stand out with the tree... Not dealing that piece of crap again. However, I've been having allergy symptoms all day and I think its from being up close and personal with that stupid tree.
Also gave the bloggy a little make over! What do you guys think?? I wanted something fresh for the new year. Something a little wintery (with the grey tones) but also with a splash a pink. That was the biggest thing I disliked about the last layout... No pink. Its just not the Ashes without pink.
Actually cooked a proper meal for supper also. No frozen crap. We had shepherds pie, which was just the thing for this snowy cold day. And plenty left over tomorrow, so I won't have to cook anything. Hehe.
Also researched a lot of stuff about teaching in Korea. I promise I'll dedicate a whole post to this very soon! I know there's several out there who are quite curious. I can at least tell you that we're still undecided about which government agency we're going to apply for. (the agencies are categorized by location and some pay more than others) and that if we apply for EPIK (Busan area) they will be accepting applications April 1st. I'm thinking the other agencies are probably right around the same time.
I did veg out for awhile tho. Watched a couple movies (The Ugly Truth and Management) I watch a lot of movies lately! Almost thinking I should keep a movie list rather than a reading list!! Something to think about.
Anyways, while watching movies (and hoping that the power didn't go out - it flickered once) I worked on Baby Boo's afghan. I decided, against my usual form, to start sewing it together now, even though I only have 11 squares done. This was mostly to force myself to stick with my original design and not do anything crazy, like add more colors and create a really complicated pattern. I think this was a good idea. I really like how its coming out.

Some of you have also asked that I say more about the baby. I guess at this point, there's not a ton to say. Her morning/constant sickness is finally subsiding. Poor thing ended up in the ER three times because she was getting dehydrated from being so sick.
As of today, she's exactly 14 weeks. Getting closer to being able to find out the sex! She's said that I can go with her to the appointment, if my schedule works out. I'm hoping she'll do it during February break, because I'll be off the same time as the public schools now. I can't wait to find out if its going to be a Sophie Dawn or a Hunter Wayne!
